Celestial Tiger Entertainment Extends Its Claws Across Southeast Asia

New Carriage Deals Include First Foray into Laos 

Hong Kong (January 23, 2018) – On the heels of blockbuster ratings for full year 2017 for its suite of channels, Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), operator of the largest bouquet of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, announced today three new carriage deals, including CTE’s first launch in Laos and new carriage agreements in Cambodia and Indonesia.

The deals cover the following CTE channels:


Celestial Movies (CM) is the premier 24-hour first-run Chinese movie channel in Asia; Celestial Classic Movies (CCM), the world’s most-widely distributed classic Chinese movie channel; KIX, the ultimate destination for action entertainment; and Thrill, Asia’s only regional horror, thriller and suspense movie channel.


The new carriage deals are as follows:


Indonesia

First Media, Indonesia’s leading cable pay-TV provider and high speed internet broadband services, carries Celestial Movies and KIX. First Media, also known as Link Net, is the largest integrated internet and multimedia service provider, reaching over 2 million homes in Indonesia.


Laos

LaoSAT, the leading provider of satellite and DTH TV service operator in Laos, now carries KIX and Thrill. This marks the first time CTE is entering the Laos market.


Cambodia

PPCTV, the first and leading provider of cable TV service and broadband Internet in Cambodia, signed a deal for KIX. PPCTV currently carries CCM.
