Celestial Tiger Entertainment Exclusively Presents “In the Mood for Wong Kar Wai” on Celestial Movies

First time the digitally remastered movies are aired on TV 

Hong Kong (30th March 2021) – Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), operator of the largest bouquet of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, announced today its exclusive collaboration with Wong Kar Wai and his company Block 2 Distribution, to present a special collection of the renowned Hong Kong filmmaker’s masterpieces, all digitally remastered, on Celestial Movies. 

Themed “In the Mood for Wong Kar Wai”, audiences in Asia can catch all 14 movies* premiering on Celestial Movies from 2 April (Friday) at 2100 HKT, and on all weekends (Fridays – Sundays, 2100 HKT) throughout April until 1 May 2021.

“In the Mood for Wong Kar Wai” kicks off with the iconic Chungking Express depicting two Hong Kong urban love stories and starring Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Brigitte Lin, Faye Wong and Takeshi Kaneshiro. Other six masterpieces directed by Wong Kar Wai to be showcased on Celestial Movies include Fallen Angels, Days of Being Wild, In the Mood for Love, 2046, As Tears Go By and Ashes of Time Redux.  

From Block 2 Distribution, the movies showing concurrently are Chinese Odyssey 2002, Touch of the Light, Sound of Colours, Mr Long, Miao Miao, The Eagle Shooting Heroes and First Love the Litter on the Breeze.
