Celestial Tiger Entertainment Renews Exclusive Output Deal with Emperor Motion Pictures

HONG KONG (February 21, 2019) – Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), operator of the largest bouquet of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, announced today the renewal and enlargement of its exclusive, multi-year output deal with one of the leading Chinese movie companies in Hong Kong, Emperor Motion Pictures (EMP). The deal secures first and exclusive pay TV rights, as well as pay-per-view (PPV), video-on-demand (VOD) and over-the-top (OTT) rights to EMP’s upcoming slate of movies for CTE’s flagship channel, Celestial Movies, in Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and – for the first time – the Philippines.

Among EMP’s current and upcoming productions are:

- Fatal Visit, a psychological suspense film starring acclaimed actresses Sammi Cheng, Charlene Choi and renowned Chinese actor Tong Da-wei whose lives are forever changed when unspeakable secrets are revealed;

- Integrity, a crime thriller starring award winners Sean Lau, Nick Cheung and Karena Lam. Revolving around an anti-corruption operation, the movie reunites Sean Lau and Anita Yuen 26 years after their hit film C’est la vie, mon chéri;

- I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change! is a musical comedy with a twist of Hong Kong sentiment and a star-studded ensemble of over 50 Hong Kong celebrities including Eric Tsang, Teresa Mo, Ivana Wong, and Wong Cho Lam; and

- The Lady Improper, a drama starring Charlene Choi, who has been nominated as Best Actress at The 38th Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in this movie which delves into a couple's sexless marriage.
