Celestial Movies' Partners With Buspak To Launch World Television Premiere Of Korean Superstar Rain's Last Concert In September

Buses drive an innovative multi-media approach to woo passengers to the channel’s exciting programs

Celestial Movies, the biggest 24-hour Chinese movie channel in Asia and beyond, is taking to the streets of Hong Kong by partnering with Buspak Advertising (Hong Kong) Limited (Buspak), bus advertising expert in Hong Kong, in September to promote the world TV premiere of Korean superstar Rain’s concert film on Celestial Movies. Buses, both inside and out, are the central vehicle for a 360-degree campaign involving trams, MTR video screens, TV spots, and online and print ads.

Widely known for offering the biggest stars and the biggest blockbuster productions to its subscribers, Celestial Movies has expanded its programming portfolio beyond movies to include big budget TV series and concert films. In September, viewers will be able to watch Korean superstar Rain’s last concert, Rain: The Best Show, on Celestial Movies before any other TV channel in the world as well the exclusive broadcast of big-budget Korean action drama HERO.

Not content with placing eye-catching ads on the exterior of Hong Kong’s buses and trams to promote its special programming, Celestial Movies teamed up with Buspak to give New World First Bus and Citybus passengers five exclusive clips from Rain: The Best Show during their journey. Celestial Movies is also holding a watch-and-win online contest accessed through Webus - a free Wi-Fi service & mobile app for bus passengers.

“With a program as exciting as Rain’s latest concert film, you can’t just convey it in print; a viewer has to experience it. The compelling combination of high impact advertising on the outside of buses with the sampling of the show inside transit TV, and the interaction of a web-based contest while on the move, is exactly what we were looking for to wow potential subscribers,” said  Andy Chang, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Celestial Tiger Entertainment.

“It’s always a thrill to work with a client with high-quality content and vision to fully exploit the opportunities that our buzplay and Webus platforms present. Celestial Movies has really implemented an exceptional all-round campaign to provide a wonderful entertainment journey for our passengers, while cleverly showcasing all they have to offer,” said Tony Fung, Group Sales Director of Buspak.

Celestial Movies’ promotional campaign will support a subscription offer for the channel on now TV running from August 20 to September 30, 2012. New subscribers of the channel during that time will be rewarded with 7-Eleven vouchers worth $50. Celestial Movies is channel 147 on now TV.
